I stupidly bought one of these in the store for like 15 bucks and had no idea you could download all 20+ tracks for free on their blog. This comes from TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone. Not sure why he went solo for this track, sounds just like TVOTR. It's a little different, but give it a couple listens before dismissing it.

Its an older song from 2008, but definitely worth listening to.

Got this from a friend. The band's called Two Door Cinema Club. I like the sound but the dudes voice sounds like the Death Cab for Cutie guy. Anywho, it's pretty catchy and the video reminds me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Link below.

Friendly Fires

If you haven't heard of them, you need to immediately. The English dance punk band had great success with their 2008 self titled album and are set to release some new tracks. Check out Skeleton Boy, Jump In The Pool, and Paris.

Canada

Canada apparently knows music. Arcade Fire, Tokyo Police Club, Of Montreal, MSTRKRFT, and now Chromeo.

Chromeo is an electrofunk duo with a heavy 80's sound. The songs been getting a lot of air time due to their surprise success at Bonnaroo this year.

Well done Canada...although I still won't forgive you for Nickelback.

Miike Snow - Cult Logic

Miike Snow - Cult Logic. Never been a huge fan of Miike Snow, but they've got a couple good jams. Heavy syth in this one.

The Pass

The Pass hails from Louisville, KY and has a Phoenix-like sound. Especially the second song, Crosswalk Stereo, the beginning is almost identical to 1901. You get Phoenix without the dirty french sellout feel!

A creation of DJ's Diplo and Switch, ML is a fictional Jamaican cartoon character, who lost his arm in a zombie war in 1984. He fights zombies, monsters, parties hard, and has a rocket powered hoverboard. So he's pretty much an awesome Marty McFly. Link below.
