Death Cab is at it again. On deck is the new album, Codes and Keys, out May 31st. Since the signing to Atlantic in 2004, the Washington-based foursome has had some recent struggles "identifying" themselves. Although their 2007/2009 releases were nominated for The Grammy's Best Alternative Rock Album of the Year, they strayed away from what made Death Cab, Death Cab and bordered on the edge of entering The Fray/Snow Patrol-esque genre ...which I fucking hate. This years effort showcases a more mature DCFC than in years past. Codes and Keys features more guitar and synth which provides more depth and less transparency. Overall, not too shabby.
